“He is nearest to God who needs the fewest things.” -Socrates

Miracle Morning 3/30

It is so important to have an accountability partner when trying to achieve goals.  I was nano-seconds away from hitting my snooze button on my alarm clock when I received a text from Cassie, “Rise and Shine!”  It was exactly what I needed to get myself out of bed. And I am so glad that I did.

I went to the gym last night for the first time in 2 weeks since my hiatus in Mexico.  It felt really great to be back and starting up my routine again.  I pushed myself 10% more than what I was doing before I left.  Because of my going to the gym, I also slept amazingly too…which I guess is why waking up early was a little more challenging for me.  But, I did it!

I’m reading Wayne Dyer (still….the book I have has  3 of his books into one which is why it’s taking me awhile).  This morning, I read about simplicity.  He’s a huge proponent of simplicity because he believes it is easier to get “in touch with the spirit” the more simpler one’s life is.  He lists 12 specific tools for simplifying ones life.

1.Unclutter your life
2. Clear your calendar of unwanted and unnecessary activities and obligations.
3. Be sure to keep your free time FREE
4. Take time for meditation and yoga.
5. Return to the simplicity of nature.
6. Put distance between you and your critics.
7. Take some time for your health.
8. Play, Play, Play!
9. Slow down.
10. Do everything you can to eschew debt.
11. Forget about the cash value.
12. Remember you spirit.

He goes into detail about each of these points, which I do not have time to expound on right now.  I am really enjoying this book, though.  (It is entitled, Inspiration by Wayne Dyer and it is out of The Essential Wayne Dyer Collection for anyone who may be interested in reading more!)

Miracle Morning 3/30 complete and I am off to get my work day of hospice social work on! Much Love!

  1. It was such a shock to lose Wayne last year, but his spirit is still with us:-)

    • I bought his book before he died, but once he passed I knew I needed to read it right away. So very sad.
